Mosaic, the exciting conclusion to The Dragonfly series, coming June 30, 2014!
The future never goes as planned. People are never what they seem. Time changes everything.

So you want to know what happened to Anna and Julian? Well, listen up, because I’ve got the whole scoop. I’m Jules, btw, and I am an artist, as you already know if you’ve read Watercolor. What you might not know is I inherited my mother’s cute little newsy nose, thank you very much.

It’s high school reunion time, and everyone’s coming back to Fairview—everyone who’s not already there, mind you. What went wrong, who’s fault it was, and why the heck nobody knew about me… it’s all coming out.

Long-distance relationships rarely last, and a lot of water has passed under that bridge. Big Secrets will be exposed, and in the end we’ll know if that old saying is true: Love is stronger than time.

Murder, abductions, and forbidden romance abound in this thrilling sequel to Sara B. Larson's acclaimed YA debut, DEFY.

Alexa remains by the newly crowned King Damian’s side as his guard, ever committed to helping him rebuild Antion and reclaim the hope of Antion's people, despite continuing to harbor a secret love for him. However, when another threat to Damian and his kingdom emerges, and blame is cast on their newly forged allies from Blevon, Alexa knows things are not what they seem. With the fate of her nation hanging in the balance once again, will Alexa be able to protect her king and uncover the true enemy -- before it's too late?

About DEFY

A lush and gorgeously written debut, packed with action, intrigue, and heart racing romance.

Alexa Hollen is a fighter. Forced to disguise herself as a boy and serve in the king's army, Alex uses her quick wit and fierce sword-fighting skills to earn a spot on the elite prince's guard. But when a powerful sorcerer sneaks into the palace in the dead of night, even Alex, who is virtually unbeatable, can't prevent him from abducting her, her fellow guard and friend Rylan, and Prince Damian, taking them through the treacherous wilds of the jungle and deep into enemy territory.

The longer Alex is held captive with both Rylan and the prince, the more she realizes that she is not the only one who has been keeping dangerous secrets. And suddenly, after her own secret is revealed, Alex finds herself confronted with two men vying for her heart: the safe and steady Rylan, who has always cared for her, and the dark, intriguing Damian. With hidden foes lurking around every corner, is Alex strong enough to save herself and the kingdom she's sworn to protect?

Guest Post: Enmity by EJ Andrews

Enmity by EJ Andrews
Published Date: April 1, 2014
Publisher: Harlequin Teen
Genre: YA

The Story: Love vs Life.
Good vs Evil.
War vs Warfare.

Which would you choose?

After a solar flare wipes out most of the world’s inhabitants, it leaves behind nothing but a desolate earth and a desperate population. Existence is no longer a certainty. And with factions now fighting for the power to rule, people start to become reckless with their lives. The world has become a dangerous place.

Amongst the ensuing chaos, Nate and Hermia — two victims of the new world order — are taken against their will to The Compound. Joined by eight other teenagers all chosen for a specific reason, Nate and Hermia are forced to train as assassins to overthrow the current president and make way for a new leader of the free world. Here, they learn to plan, fight, and most importantly... to survive.

Except, despite the casual cruelty of their new existence, both Nate and Hermia — two very strong but very different people — begin to form fragile bonds within the group. But they soon realize their happiness is short lived...because their training is just the beginning.

A war awaits...regardless of how ready or willing they may be.

My Review: This book was amazing!  I enjoyed every bit of it.  Its a great end of the world kinda book.  If you enjoy watching shows like Under the Dome, or movies like The Day after Tomorrow, 2012, etc then you will love Enmity.

Guest Post:
My inspiration spawned from my everyday life, as strange as that sounds. I have my characters
experience certain feelings that I myself can’t quite come to terms with. The easiest way to explain it is to say that when we meet Hermia she is working at a gentleman’s club which is very depraved, and she doesn’t know how she has gotten to be working in such a place that makes her feel so uncomfortable, but she feels she is too far into it to get out. I had the same feelings at my own job, even though it was in hospitality and nowhere near what Hermia was surrounded by, it’s the same feeling. The helplessness of feeling stuck in the feelings that your job surrounds you with. It’s a very suffocating thing. But it’s those feelings I need to expel, and I do that through writing it down through the experiences of my characters. Different bits and pieces come to me at different times, which sometimes can be difficult as it’s hard to string those pieces together and make a tangible story, but once I get enough ideas together I can start typing it out and making a book out of it. I love watching the story grow into a full blown novel.

As for the idea of Enmity as a whole, I think that came from very far in my subconscious. I have believed for quite some time that the natural disasters that have been going on recently have been crazy. I don’t know if it’s the fact that I am now getting older and watching the news more, but one thing is for certain – the world is on a slowly decreasing clock. There is no way around it. And when the world does end, it is interesting to think about what people would do – given that there are people left – if they are not confined by laws, human rights or morality. I think these two factors were what brought Enmity into existence.
