Genre: YA

The Story: Join the adventures of 4 brave nerds that decide they've had it with bullying, and are going to fight back. Meet Lucy, their leader; Ivy, the quiet and thoughtful witch; Dennis, the overweight artist; and Don, the catalyst that turns the club from a small group of frustrated teenagers into a group that decides to take action and stop feeling victimized. How do they do it? Who challenges them? And do they succeed?

My Review: This is such a fun and cute book! It brought me back to my high school days, where I was picked on too.  Lucy, Ivy, Don and Dennis learn that sticking together helps with getting back at the bullies in their school.  How many of us were picked on, or watched others be picked on becuase we didn't want to do anything?  Karen Strauss' book gives us a look into what the nerds feel.  With bullies being more prominate in our schools now, we all need to take an active role in telling kids that it's not ok to pick on others.
