BCM's 3rd Birthday Bash - Celebration Post #2

Today I wanted to highlight, well give a shout-out to the bloggers who run book tours, and who I have loved working with.  It's with their help, that I was able to reach so many different authors and publishers.

I am a Reader, Not a Writer - Kathy has worked so hard setting up and putting together book tours, book blasts and giveaway hops.  We started co-hosting hops with her a year, or maybe two years ago.  At least with the Lucky Leprechaun hop (which happens to have started today as well!)  She is amazing!!

Kismet Book Touring - There are a few people who work hard over at Kismet!  They also set up book tours, and have started setting up book blasts.  I am amazed at the different authors they have contact with, to set up guest posts, interviews and reviews of books.

Good Choice Reading - There's quite the team over at Good Choice Reading!  I've worked with Damaris, who also helped to spread the word about a book tour I'm doing later this year!  I've always had good luck when I sign up for one of their tours.

I've always had amazing luck with each of these bloggers.  Any time that I had a conflict - where I'd have more than one post in a given day, they did not hesitat to switch my day for me.  They also were understandable if there was a book that I just couldn't get into.  In those cases, I was usually able to write up a promo post for the author.  The ladies and guys who set up the tours, work hard at it.  I am impressed by them and am excited to be able to contiue to work with them on tours!!

"Huge thanks goes to Scholastic for today's giveaway books!"

For the second day of our birthday bash, we're spotlighting and giving away these books:

The Bar Code Rebellion by Suzanne Weyn
The Bar Code Prophecy by Suzanne Weyn

The Bar Code Rebellion:
The second book in the action-packed Bar Code series.

They want your identity. They want your freedom. They can't have them. The bar code rebellion.

Kayla has resisted getting the bar code tattoo, even though it's mean forfeiting a "normal" life. Without the tattoo, she's an exile. But she can't stay an exile for long. . . .

For reasons she doesn't completely understand--but will soon discover--Kayla is at the center of a lethal conspiracy that will soon threaten the very notion of freedom. Kayla can either give in to the bar code, or she can join the resistance and fight it. The choice, for her, is clear:

It's time to fight.

They want your identity.
They want your freedom.
They can't have them.

The bar code rebellion.

The Bar Code Prophecy:
The third book in the Bar Code series, in which one girl struggles to escape the conformity of a dystopian world.

Just as in the original Bar Code Tattoo, the year is 2025 and the mysterious, ubiquitous, and seemingly omnipotent multi-national corporation, Global 1, is in power through their agent President Loudon Waters. But now this ominous situation is experienced through the eyes of sixteen-year-old Grace Morrow.

When Grace finds out that she's adopted, her biological father, who's the head of the Global 1 nano-bot injection project, urges her against getting the bar code tattoo when she turns seventeen. Stunned by the revelations, she goes home to find her adoptive family vanished, and she's determined to find them, turning to the anti-bar-code group Decode. As they uncover more information about tracking, Grace must hide deep underground and under cover, trying to discover information that will allow Decode to figure out what Global 1 is up to, and trying desperately to shut the organization down for good.
