The Story:A Kingdom on the brink of war.
A King on the fringes of insanity.A Family running for their lives.
Ash and Fin’s only desire is to be together and dive into their happily ever after, though their conflicting worlds work to pull them apart. Neither is ready to convert to the other’s life: become a human or a mer. Little do they know that somewhere in Natatoria a secret holds the find fabric of everyone’s lives together. If the truth is discovered, Ash and Fin will no longer have the luxury of waiting. They’ll be forced to choose. But will it be for loyalty or love? Or will someone else make the choice for them if they can’t decide?Enter the watery world of treachery, greed, and the binding mer kiss as the store continues with Evergreen, book two of Mer Tales.
My Review: Fin. Sigh. Last year I had chosen Everblue for our Best I’ve Read 2011. Evergreen surpassed it! There are so many directions going on, that some parts I wasn’t paying attention. That sounds bad, I was paying attention, but I wasn’t expecting certain things to happen! Ash and Fin are learning more that long distance relationships can put a damper on things, especially honesty. Ash doesn’t want to put Fin into danger and vice versa. So what do they do? They fudge the truth. Once Ash opens up and tells Fin what is really happening (though she does the whole “Hypothetically” speech to him), he rushes back to her. I still can’t believe all that happens when they are reunited, but the cliff hanger is the worst! We’ll have to wait until next year for Everlost to find out what will happen to Ash, Fin, and the rest of the mer and humans!
