Review: Passion by Lauren Kate

Passion by Lauren Kate
Published Date: June 2011
Publisher: Delacorte Books for Young Readers
Genre: YA

The Story:
Luce would die for Daniel.

And she has. Over and over again. Throughout time, Luce and Daniel have found each other, only to be painfully torn apart: Luce dead, Daniel left broken and alone. But perhaps it doesn’t need to be that way. . . .

Luce is certain that something—or someone—in a past life can help her in her present one. So she begins the most important journey of this lifetime . . . going back eternities to witness firsthand her romances with Daniel . . . and finally unlock the key to making their love last.

Cam and the legions of angels and Outcasts are desperate to catch Luce, but none are as frantic as Daniel. He chases Luce through their shared pasts, terrified of what might happen if she rewrites history.

Because their romance for the ages could go up in flames . . . forever.

Sweeping across centuries, Passion is the third novel in the unforgettably epic Fallen series.

My Review:
Wow, the title says it all about this installment.  There is Passion in it.  With the characters and through the words written.  Luce is learning more about herself and the destiny that she and Daniel share.  She goes back, and travels to each of her previous lives to find out how she can break the curse that has befallen them.  Luce learns that it's not just about Good vs. Evil.  Daniel also learns a thing or two!  Lauren Kate has written a beautiful story, cannot wait to read the final, Rapture.

  1. My mother did a great thing for me with the best intentions, since I am sick and cannot leave my bed for a while, she went and brought me books from my booklist. The problem she brought Passion by Lauren Kate and it is the third in the saga, and I have not read the first book, they told my mother at BN (Barnes and Noble) that is was a prequel and can be read without reading the first, is this true or should I wait and buy Fallen and Torment first?

  2. Nooo, buy the first two first. You won't understand anything like this. Better wait, cause if you read Passion right away you won't like it like you would after Fallen and Torment.

  3. I read Fallen and waited for Torment to come out for a couple months and i was so lost and confused that i couldn't even read it. I had to go back and read Fallen and even then...i still dont get it. I don't know if it's me or the book but i suggest you just wait.
