Teaser Tuesday: Wolfsbane by Andrea Cremer

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
  • Grab your current read;
  • Open your book to a random page;
  • Share two (2) "teaser" sentences from somewhere on that page;
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn't give too much away! You don't want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title and author too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR lists if they like your teasers.

 Wolfsbane (Nightshade #2) by Andrea Cremer

Something about his words made me falter, like I'd tripped in the darkness and was suddenly falling, falling. And then it wasn't Shay above me, but Ren. (Page 176 of the ARC)

  1. Aconitum (A-co-ní-tum), known as aconite, monkshood, or wolfsbane, is a genus of flowering plant belonging to the buttercup family (Ranunculaceae). There are over 250 species of Aconitum.

  2. Typically they bloom in July, August or September. The flowers are fertilized by bumblebees, which clamber over the stamens and pistil to dart their long tongues into nectaries high up under the hood.

  3. I just finished reading Nightshade by Andrea Cremer and can't wait for her next book, Wolfsbane. I've heard that there is a preview of the first chapter somewhere, but I can't find it. Help?

  4. I just received Wolfsbane by Andrea Cremer in the mail today and to my surprise the edges of the book (the vertical ones opposite of the spine) are sticking our/irregular. Are they supposed to be like this or should I go to Barnes and Nobles this weekend and demand a refund.
