Paranormalcy was absolutely one of my favorite books of 2010 and I'm super thrilled to be a part of this blog tour for Supernaturally, which is turning out to be one of my favorites of 2011. Seriously, could this series be any more fun?
Below you'll find our interview with Evie. She tells us what she's been up to lately and, of course, the ever important question to just how great having a locker really is. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
BCM: So, Evie, what have you been up to lately?
Evie: Oh, you know. The usual. Serving food to paranormals I used to specialize in bagging and tagging. Getting knocked on my butt in gym class. Wishing soccer involved more Tasers and fewer slide tackles. Chilling with my sullen vampire roommate. Kissing my super hot boyfriend. I like that last one best of all.
BCM: What's the newest gossip on Easton Heights?
Evie: Oh my bleeping gosh. So, remember Trevyn, Carys's cousin who had that stupid multi-episode arc last season because he got kicked out of his California beach house for smoking too much whatever? So, he's back. Which is lame because he isn't even that hot. BUT. It means that Cheyenne has a new fake love interest, which means even though Landon's been secretly running an illegal nightclub and dating half of the dancers, he feels threatened and realizes he wants Cheyenne back. Which is awesome.
BCM: Is a locker every bit as fun as you thought it would be?
Evie: So much better! Because no one told me YOU CAN ACTUALLY DECORATE THEM. I've got a full set of Easton Heights magnets, which hold up a picture of Lend and me and a drawing he did of us. And you can use whiteboard markers on the lockers! So I write myself little reminders, and sometimes my friend Carlee and I leave notes for each other. (Umm, don't tell anyone. It's against school policy. But Carlee has bleeping adorable handwriting.) I also got this scented candle that's supposed to be "Ocean Breeze" but kind of reminds me of the way Lend smells, so every time I open it there's this waft of deliciousness. Sometimes I go between classes even if I don't have to drop anything off or get new books. Just because I can.
BCM: What is your least favorite paranormal creature and why?
Evie: I don't even know where to start. I mean, have you ever seen a hag? As if child-eating wasn't bad enough, the utter lack of hygiene and the overwhelming stench of mildew and rotting things...
Okay, I need to go smell my locker just to get the scent-memory out of my brain.
Umm, what else. Redcaps are super creepy. I identified an infestation of them once. I didn't think they were so bad (almost like dirty little lawn gnomes) (the plastic kind, not the real kind, our cook Grnlllll would kill me if she ever heard me refer to her as a lawn gnome) until I realized their jaunty little caps were all dyed with human blood. THAT IS NOT A GOOD WAY TO ACCESSORIZE.
And honestly, vampires still kind of piss me off in general. But don't tell my roommate Arianna, or she'll use up all the hot water again to spite me.
BCM: Can you give us any teasers as to what we can expect from you and Lend in Supernaturally?
Evie: Umm, trash duty? Evil gym teachers? High flying abductions? Acrobatic and dimpled distractions? Watery death kisses? Sparkly, sparkly jewelry? I dunno. It's kind of complicated. I hear it's bleeping amazing though.
Thanks so much for the interview, Evie! We can't wait to see what you're up to next!
