Review: The Vampire Stalker by Allison van Diepen

The Vampire Stalker by Allison van Diepen
Published: June 2011
Publisher: Point
Genre: YA

The Story: What if the characters in a vampire novel left their world--and came into yours?

Amy is in love with someone who doesn't exist: Alexander Banks, the dashing hero in a popular series of vampire novels. Then one night, Amy meets a boy who bears an eerie resemblance to Alexander. In fact, he IS Alexander, who has escaped from the pages of the book and is in hot pursuit of a wicked vampire named Vigo. Together, Amy and Alexander set out to track Vigo and learn how and why Alexander crossed over. But when she and Alexander begin to fall for each other, Amy wonders if she even wants him to ever return to the realm of fiction.

My Review: WOW! I LOVED this book! I know that after reading the Twilight Series, I seriously wished some of those characters would come to life. And after reading The Vampire Stalker, I wouldn't mind Alexander Banks coming to life! ;) I don't know if there is a person out there who loves to read, that has never hoped or wished their favorite character would come to life. Allison has given us some insight as to what that could possibly mean! Or do for our life. Can you just imagine?! It took Amy a while to believe it actaully happened, and I don't blame her, I don't think I'd believe it either.

  2. I always imagine characters coming to life in both novels and movies. I wonder if they'd keep their personality or change with the change of scenery and situation.

  3. That's how I felt when I was reading the Vampire Academy series, wishing that Dimitri could just jump off the pages and come to life. That would have been awesome :D
I am pretty jealous of Allison haha

This one sounded pretty good the first time I read about it, but I wasn't sure. Now that I see good reviews I think I'll have to pick it up soon :)
