Review: The Long Weekend by Savita Kalhan
The Long Weekend by Savita Kalhan
Publish Date: Oct 2008
Genre: MG, horror
The Story: Sam knows that he and his friend Lloyd made a colossal mistake when they accepted the ride home. They have ended up in a dark mansion in the middle of nowhere with a man who means to harm them. But Sam doesn't know how to get them out.
They were trapped, then separated.
Now they are alone.
Will either of them get out alive?
This gripping and hypnotic thriller will have you reading late into the night...
My Review: I loved this book!! I wasn't sure what kind of "trouble" that they would run into, but it was great! There is a great moral for teens and young adults. Well for anyone really. You shouldn't go into someone's car unless you know them, or who sent them. Sam and Lloyd survive the weekend and make it home. I couldn't read this at night, becuase the first time I did, it gave me nightmares! The last time that happened was when I read Dracula! Those who like realistic situations, or thrillers will enjoy The Long Weekend. Savita created a story where you believe you're reading a story in the newspaper about something that happened in your own town, not a fictional story.
