#BIR2010 - Interview with Rebecca Maizel & Infinite Days Giveaway

Our last giveaway for today includes an interview with Rebecca Maizel. She is the author of the so-so-so good Infinite Days and her book definitely deserves it's spot in our Best I've Read 2010 line-up.
We are so excited to have her here at BCM for an interview. We hope you enjoy it and be sure to enter for a chance to win Infinite Days below.

Thank you for the interview, Rebecca!

Also, if you want to make sure you haven't missed any other great BIR2010 giveaways, you can check our "Current Contests & Giveaways" page: HERE

Our Interview with Rebecca Maizel:

BCM: Describe yourself in four words.

RM: Friendly, motivated, creative, outgoing.

BCM: What was your favorite scene to write in Infinite Days?

RM: I don't want to say too much without giving away spoilers but I will say one word: GREENHOUSE!

BCM: Infinite Days is about second chances - if you could get a second chance at something you've done in your past, would you take it?

RM: I don't know. There are certainly things in my past I wish I never said or things I wish I hadn't done. Infinite Days is very much about renegotiating your guilt. About discovering who you are in the light of the terrible things you have done. You can't change them but you can attempt to make amends and make real change.

BCM: How many books can we expect in your Vampire Queen series?

RM: Three! Stolen Nights comes out in June 2011

BCM: What is your best read of 2010?

RM: Beating Heart by AM Jenkins
or Notes from a Liar and Her Dog -Gennifer Choldenko

I read a lot for my masters program at Vermont College.

Book Summary (from Goodreads): Lenah Beaudonte is, in many ways, your average teen: the new girl at Wickham Boarding School, she struggles to fit in enough to survive and stand out enough to catch the eye of the golden-boy lacrosse captain. But Lenah also just happens to be a recovering five-hundred-year-old vampire queen. After centuries of terrorizing Europe, Lenah is able to realize the dream all vampires have -- to be human again. After performing a dangerous ritual to restore her humanity, Lenah entered a century-long hibernation, leaving behind the wicked coven she ruled over and the eternal love who has helped grant her deep-seated wish.

Until, that is, Lenah draws her first natural breath in centuries at Wickham and rediscovers a human life that bears little resemblance to the one she had known. As if suddenly becoming a teenager weren’t stressful enough, each passing hour brings Lenah closer to the moment when her abandoned coven will open the crypt where she should be sleeping and find her gone. As her borrowed days slip by, Lenah resolves to live her newfound life as fully as she can. But, to do so, she must answer ominous questions: Can an ex-vampire survive in an alien time and place? What can Lenah do to protect her new friends from the bloodthirsty menace about to descend upon them? And how is she ever going to pass her biology midterm?
