The Story: Our Heroine Katniss Everdeen has survived the Quarter Quell and is in the hands of rebel forces. The lovable Peeta Mallark has been taken by the capitol. A full out revolution for control of the country of Panem has broken out. District 13 really does exist. District 12 has been destroyed and the few survivors are refugees. Katniss doesnt know who to trust. Will she finally take on her role as Mockingjay when everyone and everything around her is falling apart? The huge pressing question also looms. Who will she choose Peeta or Gale?
My Review: The much anticipated final installment in this series was filled with more plot twists and turns than a turbulent plane ride. If I had to use one word to describe it, I'd have to say engrossing. So many things to ponder, I had to re-read the last 20 pages again just to capture it all. Just when you think our Mockingjay is leaning one way, she surprises you by shooting an arrow. The only thing I would've wanted was for a few more pages in the end. I won't tell you who she chooses. You have to read! It gripped me throughout. I loved this series!
