All of us here at BCM are so excited to be a part of the awesome list of blogs who participate in the "In My Mailbox" meme. In My Mailbox is hosted by The Story Siren so make sure you check out her book blog for a list of many of the blogs participating. She also has some helpful information on how to participate on your own blog. Click HERE to find out more.
This is a weekly meme where we will post any books (and other things) that we have received in the mail, bought, loaned from the library, etc. It's not limited to just books. It can be anything we have just gotten and are excited about.
So this week we are excited about the following goodies:
Julie received The Red Pyramid by Rick Riordan. If you haven't already seen her review of it go HERE. She absolutely loved it. It's not often that she gives a book 5 stars so definitely check that one out.
Kendra received The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, the Eclipse movie soundtrack and the movie Daybreakers. Of course, she has already read and loved The Hunger Games but needed to add it to her collection of owned books. The soundtrack for Eclipse is a must for any Twilight fan and here is a short description of Daybreakers from Amazon.com:
Two-time Academy Award® nominee Ethan Hawke plays Edward Dalton, a researcher in the year 2019, when an unknown plague has transformed the world’s population into vampires. As the human population nears extinction, vampires must capture and farm every remaining human, or find a blood substitute before time runs out. However, a covert group of vampires makes a remarkable discovery, one which has the power to save the human race.
And this week, I received My Soul to Take and My Soul to Save by Rachel Vincent, The Body Finder by Kimberly Derting and an ARC of Minder by Kate Kaynak that I won from Andye at ReadingTeen.net. I am dying to read all of these books and cannot wait to get on my plane on Wednesday and have 6 straight hours with my beautiful books. Oh, and my husband. He'll be there too. :-)
EDIT: I nearly forgot that I also received two SIGNED books from Jennifer Laurens, Heavenly and Penitence! In the next few weeks will be not only posting our reviews of those two books but also having an interview with Jennifer AND she will be giving away a signed copy of two books to two lucky followers. Keep checking back!
What did you get in your mailbox this week? Is there anything you are super excited about and want to share? Any advice as to which book I should read first? Any input on the books that Julie and Kendra received?
